Christmas Message 2012

He puzzled and puzzled ’til his puzzler was sore,
and then he thought something he hadn’t before:

“Maybe Christmas”, he thought, “doesn’t come in haiku,
maybe Christmas, perhaps, comes in lines, two by two.”
And so using his noodle, utilising his noggin’,
blasting his brainpan, with his mind joggin’
he wrote a quick note, he wrote a quick poem-
for everyone out there, to leave them all knowin’
that Christmas is Christmas wherever you are,
from London to Paris, from near to far,
whoever you’re with, your location wherever
tell those that you love that you love them forever.

And then fixing his Christmas hat, stroking his beard,
when reading it back its just as he feared,
his poem is mushy, long-winded and sappy,
but its Christmas, so it makes him, just a little bit, happy.
