Black Sails

Black Sails

Remember me,
peglegged or patched
falling with style
into your arms-
not like this.

Remember me,
ginlipped
dripping smiles
in a brick courtyard.
Within easy reach-
not like this.

Remember me, love
tricorned and corny,
in a circle
edemiming
my way
through your life.
Feeling for your hand,
handily-
not like this.

Remember me
laughing
on a hot winter night
cracking open a
windowed smile-
not like this.
Not out to sea.
Marooned.

Fuck pirates.
