The Fox Prince and The Snow Queen

The Fox Prince and The Snow Queen

Said the Fox Prince to his Snow Queen
as the winter winds blew round
“You’re the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen,
The one to find, I’ve found.”

Said the Snow Queen to her Fox Prince
“I’m sure I don’t know why,
but the midnight moon’s been shining since
you came into my life.”

Said the Fox Prince to his Queen of Snow
“Then all I know is this-
my lips, with burning, let me know,
they miss your cooling kiss.”

Said the Snow Queen to her Prince of Foxes
under an icy bough
“Let nothing halt; not walls, nor locks,
this love from loving proud.”

The Fox Prince kissed his Snow Queen
The Snow Queen kissed her Prince
and the midnight moon was a gleaming pearl
set in their lovers crown.
