Books, Where the Line Breaks

Letters from the Writing Trenches: Gallipoli

Where the Line Breaks is out in exactly one month. It’s starting to feel very real.

One of the very first sparks of inspiration for the book came to me in a very special place: Anzac Cove on the Gallipoli Peninsula, during the early morning hours of Anzac Day 2013. I wrote all about it in a blog post for Fremantle Press, in the style of one of the extraordinary letters written by the original Diggers.

You can read it at the following link: https://www.fremantlepress.com.au/c/news/12658-gallipoli-letter-burrows-2021
